I’m staying in an apartment here:
It’s in the neighborhood called Neukölln. It’s on a very quiet (too quiet?) street, about a half a block walk to the U8 subway line. From there, it’s only a few minutes to the center of the city. I explored the neighborhood a bit today, concentrating on the main drag. It’s Sunday, so everything was closed except for a few doner kabob places and a couple Backen (bakeries). It is near a canal/river (they call Berlin the Venice of Germany) and there are some interesting looking restaurants lining it.
