This is an incredibly wide boulevard…It has always been a famous boulevard throughout Berlin’s history (there were signs along it, each with a historic event that took place there). It was also the pride of the DDR and where they had parades and marches to show off their power and buildings. The buildings are almost always symmetrical (same building on the left side as the right side). Now it seems to be a fairly tame residential boulevard.

But once you get to Frankfurter Tor and head south toward the river, it turns into a bustling little neighborhood full of shops, restaurants, and bars. As you get closer to the river, it gets more industrial and the big O2 sports stadium is here. But it looks like companies are moving into the industrial buildings and using them as offices…
